A Magical Storybook Forest Colorado Mountain Wedding
This outdoor indoor wedding reception took place at one of the most sought-after mountain wedding venues, Mount Vernon Canyon Club in Golden, Colorado overlooking Denver's stunning cityscape. Inspired from the couple's lifestyle of hiking trails with scenic views, the wedding was designed by Florboxoxo, event coordinated by Mount Vernon's Shannon Cappelli, and photographed by MacKenzi Knight Photography. These high school sweethearts, Judy and Sterling, selected classic bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for their accompanied wedding party. The overarching wedding colors and theme consisted of periwinkle pink and forest sage, befitting a storybook forest Colorado mountain wedding!

When designing this blushing rose eucalyptus bridal bouquet, silver undertones combined wonderfully with the forest sage ties of the Groomsmen, thus emphasizing the periwinkle pink and the sand tanned highlights throughout this couple's wedding theme. Mountain Wedding Decor Essentials
Beginning with the bridal bouquet showcasing a classic mini crescent designed to befit a modest styled bridal gown, the wedding party tablescape featured simple white delphiniums interlaced with lemon leaf graced with Italian ruscus. Submerged roses topped with floating candles glowing in cylinder glass vases encompassed by mirrored trays were selected as a focal point for guest tables for the wedding centerpieces. Finally, tiered cake flowers of satin pink roses and stark white veronica were layered onto this traditional dessert.

Mountain Wedding Dress and Outfits
The bride dawned a sheath style wedding dress with a jewel neckline. Her bridal hairstyle was half up and half down, highlighting goddess waves loosely pulled up into a neat, bedazzled pin showcasing a traditional cathedral veil in natural-toned makeup. The bridal party fashioned complimentary periwinkle pink cocktail style bridesmaid's dresses. The groom and his groomsmen stepped out in tanned suits featuring a double-wide notch lapel presenting a sage green tie. When white veronica flowers served as the staple for the blushing bridal bouquet, uniquely shaped honeycombed scabiosa pods were featured for the boutonnieres. Because the wedding party fashion consisted of a storybook simplicity of color tones and fabrics, it was vital for our flower team to design a floralscape combining rich textures with blousy freeform shapes.
Mountain Wedding Entertainment and Menu
The bridal engagement ring consisted of a t-shaped platinum band lined with mini-cut shimmering diamonds with a central square mixed diamond! Opposites attract with a solid tungsten band for the groom. The most raved wedding moment came when the bride coyly surprised her groom and wedding guests with a romantic, sultry, professionally choreographed belly-dancing ensemble while unveiling a chiffon white skirt and bustier in celebration of her multicultural heritage! After the reception dinner, the couple opted for chocolate and vanilla swirled fluffy cake layered with whipped and creamy decorative fondant. Delicate satin pink garden roses bloomed as the cake topper!
Mountain Wedding Venue Location
Although their religious ceremony began within the worshipped halls of the reverenced chapel of Denver Temple Church, centrally located in Centennial, Colorado, the evening reception took place at a historic Colorado mountain venue, Mount Vernon Canyon Club niched within the foothills of Golden. Sourcing from the organization's online history resource, the space was founded initially as a golf country club in 1923. This mountain views venue was progressively designed not to fit the centralized trends of art deco from that era but instead as a midcentury modern cabin. The mountain hunting lodge-style cabin is woody and rustic yet displays clean lines and geometric savvy architecture ahead of its time. Today, this venue is a modern exposé of nature with an exquisite view of Denver's cityscape, a perfect forest backdrop for an earthy mountain top wedding! - OXO
