1. Columbine Trail Crested Butte, CO
This trail is a grassy flower filled hike uphill. Wildflowers are blooming in late June through July. This is the best timeframe to witness Colorado's very own state flower, Columbine. This trail is excellent for hiking and biking, with an optional shuttle available on either side. The scenic views are filled with rolling hills, Aspen pikes, and wildflowers from Nicholson lake to Saddle Ridge trailhead. With an elevation of about 50 feet and a hiking distance of about 2 miles, the average hike takes about 1 hour to complete.
2. Lupine Trail Crested Butte, CO
This trail is excellent for hiking and biking, with an optional shuttle available on either side. From Nicholson lake to SaddleRidge trailhead, the scenic views are filled with rolling hills, Aspen pikes, and wildflowers. With an elevation of about 900 feet and a walking distance of about 7 miles, the average hike takes about 2.5 hours. It is best to stay on the trail to avoid trespassing on private property.
3. Rustler's Gulch Trail Crested Butte, CO
This trail is incredible for butterfly and bird watching with the best variety of wildflowers within Crested Butte. This trail is best during the timeframe of July and August. This valley also showcases stunning mountain views and waterfalls with fantastic abundant wildflowers. With an elevation of about 1800 feet and a hiking distance of about 7 miles, the average hike takes about 4 hours for completion.
